Ella is an Earth Scientist and Machine Learning researcher assistant at Understory. She holds a PhD in Geosciences from Sorbonne University and previously worked on understanding mountain collision and volcanism with isotope geochemistry. Now she is focused on building machine learning models to help monitor biodiversity and help fight climate change. She is currently based in Paris, France, and outside of work, she enjoys hiking in the Alps, running half marathons, and practicing Ashtanga yoga.
